Neptune
Neptune's influence
If we consider the disappearance of the communist regimes some twenty years ago and the triumph of liberalism (of a Uranian nature) that followed, or the decline of the Church with the growing schism between Catholic doctrine and contemporary reality, the crisis of vocations or the scandals that shake it, it seems at first glance that Neptune's influence is in decline in favor of the other two trans-Saturnians. However, we can highlight three essential points that we know correspond to the major issues of the coming decades and which are closely linked to the Neptunian dialectic.

Migration
The first point concerns the growing impoverishment of part of the world, particularly in the countries of the South, to the benefit of rich countries perceived by many populations as a salutary refuge. As a result, increasing migration flows are forming, driven by the lack of economic and social prospects and, increasingly, by the transformation of living conditions due to climate change. As happened at the time of the discovery of Neptune at the beginning of the industrial era, but this time on a global scale, it is often misery, unemployment and exclusion that await newcomers when they manage to settle in a rich country.
The plundering of the oceans
The second point evokes the world of Neptune itself, with the scarcity and indeed the programmed disappearance of fish from the oceans due to the ravages caused by industrial fishing that the advanced countries are unable to regulate. It is hard to imagine the world emptied of its first occupants, but perhaps this is how the Age of Pisces must end... In the same vein, there is the problem of the scarcity of fresh water, Neptune's other reserved domain. We now know that there are many causes, including the contamination of agricultural land by nitrates and pesticides, climate changes and the exponential increase in population. How can we live without water, since water is essential to life?
Climate change
The third point is related to the previous one: climate change itself, which is constantly increasing and becoming clearly perceptible from one end of the planet to the other. There is no longer a season when a temperature record is not announced, a direct consequence of global warming, itself linked to the massive release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. At the origin of the phenomenon, intensive agriculture, massive industrialization, the multiplication of motor vehicles, in a word the fruits of uncontrolled growth. We are thus witnessing the rapid implementation of a process that is apparently difficult to reverse, to the point that the increase in global temperature is now considered to be a given. As a result, disasters linked to climate imbalance follow one another abnormally: heat waves, droughts and fires, as well as storms, cyclones, floods, landslides due to torrential rains, river floods and melting glaciers, not to mention the retreat of sea ice that leads to the rise of the oceans.
Of course, these phenomena are not all new, but it is their increasing frequency and their increasing intensity that are unprecedented. Contrary to the irresponsible statements of the negationists, these are indeed the consequence of human activity and not of natural cycles, as was once suggested. The race for growth seems to have awakened Neptune and this reminds us that, in accordance with the dialectic of Pisces, Neptune governs events over which man has no control.
Moreover, it seems that the political authorities are not yet ready to take the necessary decisions and their incompetence only makes the consequences of climate change even more certain, as shown by the Copenhagen Conference held from 7 to 19 December 2009. The theme set for the opening of the Conference is eloquent: the conjunction of Neptune with Jupiter, ruler of the Sagittarius Ascendant, could suggest a desire to provide solutions, but this was without taking into account the presence of Pluto in Capricorn intercepted in the 1st house, ruler of the MC, conjunct Mercury (the negotiations) and especially square its ruler, Saturn. From this configuration the following conclusion can be drawn: the short-term economic and political interests of the great powers must not be compromised.
